psyoga
story
I joined the community at Park Slope Yoga Center in 2003 and frequented the great teachers of legend who, combined with the down to earth vibe, and strong reputation established our community.
I could never have imagined that by 2010 that I would have begun teaching yoga and eventually the managing directer, then owner, running this same studio that I loved. Park Slope Yoga Center had opened in 1998 and it became a mainstay in the neighborhood. I was happy to continue its legacy.
For over twenty years dedicated students came through our doors to start and develop their practices. Some came on a date, or to address an injury, only to realize later how PSY had been a constant during many life changes, moves or breakups. Side by side, so many worked through various life events and milestones— creating a bond.
Likewise, a countless number of teachers moved through PSYoga to begin and grow their skills, build their careers and shape their signature styles as well. I’m grateful to have been able to do the same.

Having let go of our beautiful space in 2021, I’ve reimagined community expanding upon this legacy with much added perspective on sharing this practice. I will continue to teach classes and to guide people in the practice of yoga towards using its tenets to realize joys and powers.
